Data collected
We only collect the data you choose to send us: first and last name, company, email address, phone number, universe concerned and the content of your message; as well as the information contained in the emails and calls you address to us.
The website measures its traffic with Google Analytics (see below), which involves the use of cookies. No advertising cookies are used, no profiling is carried out and no automated decision is taken about you.
Purposes and legal bases
Answering your request and arranging a meeting:
pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Carrying out an assignment entrusted to us: performance of
the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Complying with our legal obligations, in particular
accounting and anti-money laundering obligations: legal obligation
(Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Measuring the website's traffic: our legitimate interest
in understanding how the website is used in order to improve it
(Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to it at any time.
How the form works
The contact form on this website does not store any data on a server: it opens your email application with a pre-filled message, which you remain free to edit or not to send. The information only reaches us when you send that email.
Audience measurement and cookies
The website uses Google Analytics to understand its traffic: pages viewed, length of visit, type of device, approximate country or region. These measurements are used solely to improve the website; they do not identify you by name and are not used for advertising purposes.
Measurement is active from the moment you arrive on the website. Google
Analytics then places cookies whose names begin with _ga,
kept for 13 months at most.
You may object to it at any time via the Cookies link at the bottom of every page, then “Decline”: measurement stops immediately, the cookies already placed are deleted, and your choice is kept for your next visits.
Recipients
Your data is processed only by authorised persons within Opus Venture. It is never sold, rented or exchanged.
In the course of an assignment, certain information may be passed on to a partner in our ecosystem (notary, tax adviser, bank), but only where necessary for the performance of the assignment, with your prior consent and only to the extent strictly required.
Audience measurement data is processed by Google Ireland Limited, acting as a processor.
Transfers outside the EU
Our tools are hosted in the European Union. Where an international assignment requires data to be transferred to a third country, the transfer is governed by the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR and you are informed beforehand.
Audience measurement data may be transferred to the United States by Google. This transfer is governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google adheres.
Retention periods
Requests with no follow-up: 12 months from the last
exchange.
Client relationship: duration of the relationship, then
10 years in accordance with the legal retention obligations applicable in
Belgium.
Identification documents collected under anti-money
laundering obligations: 10 years after the end of the business
relationship.
Audience measurement: cookies kept for 13 months at most,
statistical data kept for 14 months at most.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Documents exchanged in the course of an assignment pass through secure spaces, encrypted at rest and in transit, with named and logged access.
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure (within the limits of our legal retention obligations), restriction, portability and objection. For audience measurement, the right to object is exercised directly via the Cookies link in the footer.
To exercise them, write to francois.v@opus-venture.com. We reply within one month.
Complaints
If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the rules, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.
